India to purchase battery power electric busses
(Asia Pacific): Tamil Nadu government plans to purchase 2,000 low maintenance battery-powered buses to introduce environment-friendly public transport systems. The German state-owned development bank KfW will provide the loans for the project at 2% interest.
PM Modi launches various power projects in Kashmir
(Asia): Indian PM Narendra Modi has launched several power development projects in Jammu and Kashmir which included 220 KV single circuits based on 335 km transmission line, and 400 KV Double Circuit to supply additional 1,000 MW of electricity to the Kashmir valley.
