The largest vanadium battery in China is installed

(Asia Pacific): VRB Energy commissioned 3MW / 12MWh vanadium redox flow battery energy storage project in China with the aim to integrate a large solar PV system into a grid in its first phase of a 10MW 40MWh project. This is the largest vanadium flow battery of its kind installed in China.

 

Caithness-Moray link project reaches completion

(Europe): Scottish and Southern Electricity (SSE) completed new Caithness-Moray 1.2GW HVDC transmission line in the north of Scotland that will transmit power from new renewable sites through 113km subsea cable.
