A new offshore wind farm starts operation in Belgium

(Europe): The Norther Offshore Wind Farm in Zeebrugge, Belgium with a production capacity of 370 MW has now been connected to the grid. The wind farm is comprised of 44 of 8.4MW turbines in which the first four turbines are connected to the grid. Once it becomes in full operation by this year, it will be able to supply power to around 400k homes annually.

 

Construction started on 117 MW solar project in Mexico

(North America): A Chinese PV modular supplier Risen Energy has started construction works on 117 MW on a solar park in Durango, Mexico. Once the project is completed, it is expected to supply 269,068 MWh of electricity annually.
