Norsk Vind Energi to build a major wind facility in Norway

(Europe): Norsk Vind Energi, a wind power developer and energy producer revealed its plan to construct 1.5GW Hordavind onshore wind farm without any government subsidy in Hordaland, Norway. The construction is expected to begin in 2023, with its power expected to be priced at less than €30.84/MWh. Once completed, it will electrify around 300k homes yearly from its 5.4 TWh generation of electricity.

Senec will supply battery storage system to Horizon Power

(Asia-Pacific): Horizon Power, an Australian regional power provider has selected German energy storage company Senec for the supply of smart battery system for its second phase Onslow microgrid project in Australia. The second phase includes the construction of a centralised 1MW solar farm and 1 MWh of battery storage system, which will be completed in May. The first phase of 5.25MW gas-fired power plant already started power generation in 2018.
