JDR Cables to supply cables for Kriegers Falk offshore wind farm

(Europe): JDR Cables, a UK based subsea power cable supplier, will provide more than 170Km aluminium core inter-array power cable to 605MW Kriegers Falk offshore wind farm in Baltic Sea, Denmark.

The assembly will be conducted at JDR Hartlepool facility, with the expected completion in 2021. The 32kV cables will connect the 72 turbines of 8.4MW and transmit the generation of electricity to offshore substations. Once fully operational, it will electrify 600K households in the country.

Audaz to add 300MW capacity

(Europe): Audax, a Spanish energy company to install 300MW projects in the Iberian peninsula.

Recently, Audax also signed the world biggest private power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Irish investment fund WE link for 708MW solar projects in Spain and Portugal. Trina Solar, a Chinese based PV manufacturer will develop the project and supply the PV infrastructure.
