Trump to sign an order to  ban Chinese telecom companies

(North America): President Donald Trump is expected to sign an executive order this week which will ban the US carriers to use telecom equipment made by Chinese manufacturers. He is expected to sign the order before the Mobile World Congress (MWC) trade show in Barcelona to be held from February 25th to 28th. Trump wants to show the world that the US is putting telecom cybersecurity first.

 

Ericsson opens a training facility in Texas

(North America): Ericsson announced a new Center of Excellence training facility in Lewisville, Texas. It will help Ericsson’s employers and partners to take part in courses related to customers support, maintenance and rolling out of systems that will bring 5G to US and Canada. Training will be delivered on integration and deployment of 3G, 4G and 5G technologies, radio base station installation etc.
