Some developments
Sepid Dasht Steel Complex (65% owned by MSC and 35% by the Iranian State Mines and Metals Holding Company, IMIDRO) expansion, which is a thin slab caster with 1 Mt/year capacity. The project will cost around USD 156 million and is to be concluded this year. The expansion of Kharazi hot rolling mill with 3 Mt/year capacity, which is due to be concluded by 2018.
KSC announced that it was going to increase its capacity with a two-phase expansion plan. The first phase will increase its capacity to 5 Mt/year by 2018, while the second stage will take the capacity to a total of 13.6 Mt/year by 2025.
