(Europe): The new project called BlockIoT (Blockchain for IoT) is launched by Brazil’s CPqD (one of the largest Latin American R&D centres in Telecommunications and IT) in Brazil. The main purpose of the project is the development of blockchain based digital identity services for people and things.

Furthermore, to achieve the features such as security, reliability in authentication processes, verification, authentication and privacy the project is based on the Internet of Trusted Things.

 

Verizon rollouts its 5G network ahead of schedule

(North America): Verizon launched its 5G network on Wednesday in selected areas like Chicago and Minneapolis before its 11 April launched date. Verizon does not have the 5G smartphone, and nowadays Samsung is the only phone compatible with 5G which is set to launch in the US later this year. So the company explains that customers can access the 5G network through Motorola Moto Z3 smartphone, which is compatible with 5G.

 

DU blockchain platform got approval from the government

(Middle East): DU, a telecom operator in the United Arab Emirates, has launched its Blockchain-Platform-as-a-Service (BPaaS) last year, which offers the blockchain based platform for businesses, compatible with Ethereum (ETH) and Hyperledger Fabric.
