STC partners for Nokia 5G network in Saudi Arabia
(Middle East): STC (Saudi Telecom Company) has signed an agreement with Nokia for the deployment of Nokia 5G network in southern and western parts of Saudi Arabia, including the holy cities like Makkah and Madinah.
Nokia will also be responsible for the introduction of AirScale and cloud RAN in STC’s network, and also for the Wavence platform deployment in indoor radio of AirScale and microwave.
Nokia 5G network would not be the first 5g infrastructure in the kingdom. STC has already been in partnership with Huawei and Ericsson for the 5G deployment.
Surge Holdings partners with AATAC for its blockchain portal
(North America): Surge holdings, a US-based company has collaborated with AATC (Asian American Trade Associations Council) to placement SurgePays 2.0 Blockchain Portal in around 40,000 stores by the end of 2019.
In the first phase, it will be launched in Texas, Virginia and Florida with the goal of deployment in 3k- 5k locations per month. Later it will be expanded to other territories with the rollout to achieve the 40k target. In the second phase, the placements will be expanded to other AATAC locations.
