E.ON will build a power plant for a DS Smith paper plant
(Europe): DS Smith, the leading British based provider of sustainable paper packaging solutions have given the green light to E.ON, a leading energy company in Europe to construct 75MW combined heat and power(CHP) facility at Kemsley Paper Mill in Kent, UK. The plant will replace the existing CHP and will enable a carbon reduction of 36kt annually. The construction of the plant is scheduled to begin this year, with completion scheduled for 2021.
Spain’s Repsol invests in the battery storage system market
(Europe): Spanish oil company Repsol SA has acquired an anonymous stake in Ampere Energy SL, a Valencia-based battery energy storage system manufacturer. The company is expanding its presence in the renewable energy sector. The partnership aims to develop innovative solutions in the energy market.
