ArcelorMittal Temirtau to ramp up steel production in 2019

(Asia Pacific): ArcelorMittal Temirtau, the largest steel company in Kazakhstan, will increase its annual production by 18.4% from 3.8 million tonnes to 4.5 million tonnes in 2019. It was announced by the Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan after visiting the company.

Siemens helps EZDK for digitalisation

(Africa): Siemens signed an agreement with Egypt’s Al EZZ Dekheila Steel Company (EZDK) for providing Drive Train Analytics (DTA) system. DTA is a digital industrial solution of Siemens that will apply in various steel production assets in the plant.

RINL to commission forged wheel facility in September

(Asia Pacific): Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd (RINL) has announced to start its forged railway wheel plant at Rai Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh, India by September 2019. Once operational, the plant will supply wheels to Indian Railways.

Toyota to invest $749 million in the US

(North America): Toyota Motor Corporation announced to invest $749 million in its five different automotive factories in the US. The investment will increase the company’s engine production capacity and adds new hybrid models in the company’s portfolio.
