Florida Power & Light to build a 409 MW battery storage system in Florida

(North America): A major US-based utility company, Florida Power & Light will build the world largest solar power battery storage system. The company will develop the project through its subsidiary Next Era. It would be capable of providing 409MW of electricity for two hours in Manatee, Florida. Once operational in 2021, it will supply power to around 329k homes.

 

Enel acquired all the renewable facilities from Tradewind in the US

(North America): Enel Green PowerNorth America (EGPNA), a subsidiary of Enel Group acquired a Kansas-based renewable developer, Tradewind Energy. Currently, the EPG is expanding its US capacity by acquiring all the Tradewind development platform includes 13GW of American wind, solar and storage projects located throughout the country.

In addition, Enel Group also finalised the agreement with Macquarie Group to sell Tradewind’s subsidiary Savion assets which comprised of 6GW solar and storage pipeline projects.
