Vodafone and IBM sign $550 million partnership
Vodafone and IBM have signed an agreement for eight years, worth $550 million. Given that IBM maintains its hybrid cloud, AI and strong security capabilities, so under the agreement both the partners will use the infrastructure for innovations in their businesses applications. Vodafone customers will also be able to get the opportunity of using IBM’s optimisation, automation and cognitive capabilities.
Germany considers a ban on Huawei 5G instruments
The German interior ministry had announced earlier that his government would not ban any 5G network suppliers in the country. However, the emerging situation in Poland and elsewhere have added renewed pressure on Germany to get stricter on Huawei. Germany has yet to present more stringent security requirements which may stop Huawei products from being used in their 5G network.
