HSBC looking forward to expanding Voltron

(Europe): HSBC bank has launched its blockchain based platform called Voltron in 2018, focused towards the management of bills and accounts through permissioned blockchain. It aimed to reduce processing time and increase security by limiting transactional data to authorised users.

HSBC Voltron has already partnered with ING (Internationale Nederlanden Groep), Standard Chartered, BNP Paribas, Bangkok Bank, NatWest, CTBC Holding and SEB (Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB).

HSBC is trying to expand the platform to more banks and explore the banking market in South Korea. The platform is still in PoC (proof of concept) stage and will be soon commercially launched.
