Mercedes to build a battery factory in Poland

(Europe): Mercedes-Benz Cars is starting the building of electric batteries plant in Jawor, Poland. It would expand its global battery production network to nine factories.

 

Toshiba will contribute to Maldives’s clean and stable power supply with a microgrid

(Asia Pacific): Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions Corporation to Supply Micro-Grid Energy Management System to the Maldives under the Preparing Outer Islands for Sustainable Energy Development (POISED) project. The system will start operation by 2020. Most of the power generation in the Maldives is based on diesel generators. The government is promoting renewable energy in the wake of global warming and the rise of sea level. It has installed solar power systems in one of its islands in 2017.
