Telekom Romania plans to pull out from 5G licenses auction
(Europe): Romania’s Telecom Romania plans to pull out from the country 5G auction held by ANCOM (National Authority for Management and Regulation in Communications) due to the Government’s emergency ordinance 114/2018. This has resulted in high prices for operators and has created issues for the 5g auction.
The telecom companies in Romania are also worried about the 3% turnover tax in their all operations (services, mobile phones, tablets or real estate operations) which they have to pay according to 114/2018 ordinance.
